After a long pandemic pause, interscholastic sports returned this fall with the Bay Ridge Prep Tigers showing strength, grace and pride throughout the Fall 2021 season! Here's a wrap up from each team:
Varsity Girls Volleyball had one of their strongest seasons in school history, finishing the year undefeated with a 10-0 record in the ISAL B-division. After earning the title of regular season champions, the team ended the season by honoring senior players Amelia Block, Haylee Pinkston, Priscilla Sideris and Kayla Zisimopoulos who are graduating this year.
Upper School Cross Country
Although most students on this year's Cross Country team are new to running at the varsity level, the Upper School Cross Country had a great fall season. The team had multiple students place within the top 15 at all the ISAL meets.
Varsity Soccer welcomed many players new to the sport this season and, despite the team being young, they arrived at each game with positive energy and eager to play. With the team showing determination, they have in place the ingredients for a strong season in Fall 2022. The team ended the season by honoring senior players Joseph Anzalone, Chris Galette, Collin Gittins, Phillip Korobov and Samuel Toussie.
Middle School Cross Country
Middle School Cross Country had a strong showing in the ISAL this year. Members of the team have placed in the top three at all of their meets and are on course to be incredible athletes when they begin competing next year at the Upper School level.
Middle School Soccer
In the inaugural season of Middle School Soccer, the Tigers won their first two games and finished the season 2-2 competing against more established and experienced teams. This first season was an impressive start for the Middle School soccer squad and the future of the program is bright as the team continues to grow.
