Strong Starts for Spring Sports

The Bay Ridge Prep Tigers are making a strong return to spring sports with each team having impressive showings early on in the season. Here are some recent highlights from spring sports:


Varsity Baseball 
Boys Varsity Baseball is currently making a name for themselves as they move into the Independent School Athletic league. Currently sitting at 3-2, the Tigers have a good chance to make the league playoffs. Later this season, the team will honor seniors Oliver Berman, Aidan Cassidy, Isaac Ashkenazi, and Jackson Goldstein. 

Varsity Softball 
Currently sitting at 3-0, Girls Varsity Softball is a force to be reckoned with in the ISAL. With just two more weeks in the regular season, the Tigers will be strong contenders in the league playoffs and are eyeing a possible appearance in the NYSAIS State Tournament. Seniors Amelia Block, Alexandra Conaboy, Tulsi Perun and Priscilla Sideris will be honored later this season.

Varsity Boys Tennis 
With a number of new players on the team this year, Varsity Boys Tennis is showing much promise for the future. This year, three Middle School students joined the team and have been strong additions to the team which will honor seniors, Dante Mazzone and Gabe Gurevich later this season.  

Varsity Girls Tennis
Varsity Girls Tennis features a number of players that are brand new to the sport but have shown tremendous spirit and are building a strong foundation for the future of the program. Seniors Alexandra Conaboy and Priscilla Sideris will be honored later this season.

Middle School Baseball 
Currently sitting with a 1-1 record, Middle School Baseball is building their skills as baseball players. Each member of the team is showing up to practices eager to learn more about the game and hone their skills. We are excited to see what the team does as they head into their next few games of the season. 

Spring Track 
The Tigers are starting off the spring track season strong this year. In their first meet, both Middle School and Upper School students brought home great highlights. Brendan Lee took first place overall in the Boys Middle school 400 meter race. Noah Allbrooks took second place overall in the Boys Middle School 100 meter race. Sophia Saadi took first place overall in the Girls Varsity 400 meter race and second place overall in the 100 meter race.
