The spring sports season was filled with many highlights for the Bay Ridge Prep Tigers. At the ISAL Middle School Track Championship, Oscar Griggs '23, Andrew Betro '24, Matthew Betro '24 and Alan Mandalaoui ‘23 placed 3rd overall for the 4 x 100 relay. Oscar Griggs also placed 2nd overall in the 400 meter dash. At the Varsity Track level, Clyde Campbell ‘21 qualified for the NYSAIS state tournament and will compete against independent school runners on May 22.
At the Varsity level, both the Baseball Tigers and the Softball Tigers made their way to the postseason! For Varsity Softball, the Tigers’ 6-4 regular season record landed them in the playoffs. The Tigers put up a strong effort but fell to Léman Manhattan in the first round . Varsity Baseball advanced to the semi-final game of their playoffs after a victory over Lawrence Woodmere Academy in the first round. In the semi-final game, the Tigers found themselves down double-digits early on against The Stony Brook School, the top team in the league. Stony Brook ultimately prevailed to end Bay Ridge Prep's baseball postseason, but not after the Tigers pounced back with 10 runs against Stony Brook's 13.
