Don't know the show? No problem! Here's our "Top 10" trivia to guide you so you won't "Stumble Along"...

10. The musical is an homage to early 20th-century vaudeville and the musical comedy of Gershwin, Porter, Romberg, and Gilbert & Sullivan. Think "Anything Goes" meets "Ziegfeld's Follies" and "Crazy for You".

9. Two Bay Ridge Prep alums, Matthew Durnin and Bobby Andrews, are integral members of the production team and excited to be back at their alma mater!

8. The cast includes five seniors, four juniors, four sophomores, and two freshmen -- supported by a crew of nearly a dozen classmates plus a professional pit orchestra of eleven musicians. That's team work!

7. The original Broadway production in 2006 won the Tony for Best Score and Best's still the bee's knees more than 10 years later!

6. Rated PG by its production licensing company, "The Drowsy Chaperone" is fun for everyone in your family, from youngsters to young-at-heart.

5. The couple getting married in the show, Robert Martin and Janet van de Graffe, are named after real people that are good friends of the show's creators.

4. Worried you might get lost in the plot? Fear not, the entire show is narrated by a bachelor theatre buff, played by senior Griffin Wolf. He'll ably guide you from start to finish!

3. Each character in the show portrays a traditional theatre trope - that is, they play a stock character type with predictable personality traits, look, and motivation. Examples of such a character type is a James Bond villain or the trusty sidekick in a Disney animated movie.

2. We've hidden some "Easter Eggs" around the set from past high school productions...maybe you'll spy a thing or two from "Into the Woods" or "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown".

1. There is an extra-special cameo appearance by a very familiar Bay Ridge Prep face... Who could it be?! You'll have to see the show to find out!

So don't be a bluenose! Reserve your seat now to see these hoofers hit on all sixes! It'll be the cat's pajamas!!

"The Drowsy Chaperone" is directed by Ms. Cait Hynes, with music directed by Dr. Aaron Patterson and choregraphy by Mrs. Margaret Capotorto and Dr. Noreen Stewart. The show is presented with permission by Music Theatre International. Any questions may be directed to
