Admissions Process

Bay Ridge Prep students believe in their power to succeed. The ingredients to that success: a progressive academic environment that emphasizes experiential learning, intimate class sizes and an outstanding faculty. Our graduates are critical thinkers, responsible citizens and caring people with successful and meaningful personal and professional lives.

★  Our Admissions Process begins with creating and logging in to your child's account in Ravenna, our online application tool.  You will use Ravenna to register for an open house, as well as to complete your online application, application fee, and upload all supplemental materials.

★  In addition to the online application, required materials to be submitted via Ravenna include 2 teacher assessments (preferably from an English and math teacher), report cards from the past 3 years including current year,  and any evaluations that are applicable to your child.

★  Once your application is submitted, you will be contacted regarding any missing materials and the application will be reviewed once complete.  Candidates who are chosen to move forward in the admissions process for our Middle and Upper Schools will be offered interviews starting as early as December.  Candidates selected to move forward in our Lower School admissions process will be offered half or full day visits.

★  Approximately 2 - 3 weeks after the interview, the admissions committee will notify the prospective family of the applicant's admission status.  If the student is accepted and offered a seat, instructions for enrollment are included in the decision letter.

We are selective in admissions and seek students who will benefit from our programs as well as positively contribute to our community.  Bay Ridge Prep operates on a rolling admissions system which means there is no application deadline, however, we recommend submitting your application in the fall prior to the intended academic year of enrollment.
