Audiences were delighted at sold-out performances of the second annual middle school play, a lively western named "The Ballad of Jessica James" that featured clever good guys, gun-slinging bad guys, dancing saloon girls, Indians, bankers, sheriffs and assorted town folk.
Written by Geoff Bamber and directed by Patti Veconi, the March 15 and 16 production included scenery with set pieces created by Robin Reczek and Marjorie Vera then brought to life by a stage crew who acted as tables, lamps, cacti, door hinges and more. Tying the show together with musical selections and sound effects was Dr. “Doc” Patterson.
"Jessica James" had 25 students participating in it, making it the biggest production yet for the Middle School.
